Sabagold seed garlic quality

This Sabagold seed garlic in size grade 50/60 is SOC certified and receives no treatment. From a regenerated variety, it is free from OYDV virus.

Healthy, regenerated planting stock preserves the vigour of the crop and its yield potential against this virus. As the cloves are untreated, careful sorting before planting and well-drained soil reduce the risk of rot.

Planting Sabagold garlic

Sabagold garlic is planted from September to November, ideally in October. Well rooted, it tolerates harsh climates and adapts to all soil types, including light soils.

Prepare loose, drained, free-draining soil. Plant the cloves tip up, 3 to 5 cm deep, avoiding fields that are waterlogged in winter, which encourage rot.

Sabagold garlic harvest and outlets

Sabagold garlic is harvested from June to July. It is intended for semi-dry and dry sales.

Lift when the foliage starts to yellow, in dry weather, then leave the bulbs to dry before curing. These two outlets make it possible to spread sales after harvest.

Storing Sabagold garlic

Sabagold garlic stores well, provided it is dried and stored carefully after harvest for semi-dry and dry sales.

Once the bulbs are fully dry, keep them in a dry, ventilated, dark place, without contact with the ground. Regular sorting removes damaged heads.
