All about Messidrôme seed garlic

Messidrôme is a mid-early white autumn garlic, valued for its productivity and good tolerance of drought. Pro Allium offers it as certified organic (AB) seed, size grade 50/60, in 5 kg and 20 kg bags, and untreated, size grades 40/50 and 60+, in 20 kg bags.

Characteristics of Messidrôme garlic

• Type: white autumn garlic
• Earliness: mid-early
• Dormancy: medium
• Bulb: round, with white skin
• Cloves: 8 to 14 per bulb, ivory to cream, of excellent shape
• Flavour: mild and subtle, with a slight hint of spiciness
• OYDV status: variety free from OYDV virus

Planting and harvest

Messidrôme is planted from September to November. Harvest runs from late May to July: the exact date depends on planting time and the year’s weather, and is confirmed by checking the foliage and bulbs.

Outlets and storage

This variety is intended for the semi-dry and dry market. Productive and not very sensitive to water shortage, it secures the harvested volume; its good storage then leaves flexibility in the sales calendar.
